Review (Summary): "Canon has created another successful ultra-compact digicam with the release of the PowerShot Digital ELPH SD770 IS. It features a 2.5" PureColor II LCD screen, optical image stabilization and motion detection technology. This combined with all the usual features that you have come to expect from an ELPH like face detection, VGA movie mode, full auto and various pre-programmed scene modes make this camera incredibly easy- to-use for anyone. ...
Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FX35 Review by DCResource
Review (Summary): "At first glance, you may take a look at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 ($350) and say, "oh good, another ultra-compact camera". And, in many respects, that's just what it is. What sets the FX35 apart from almost everything else is its super wide-angle lens, which starts at just 25 mm. Panasonic wisely made this a 4X zoom, giving you a top end of 100 mm (instead of 75 mm, had it been 3X). ...
Eye-Fi Launches Three New Wireless Memory Cards: Eye-Fi Explore, Eye-Fi Share, and Eye-Fi Home

The Eye-Fi Explore Card (MSRP $129.00) will be available at major online retailers beginning June 6, 2008.
Sony Alpha DSLR-A350 Digital SLR Review by Digital Trends
Review (Summary): "The Sony alpha DSLR-A350 is a solid, sturdy digital single lens reflex camera. Honestly it doesn?t look too much different than almost every other D-SLR out there. The camera has a matte black finish and if you covered the logos, you'd be hard pressed to tell a Canon or a Pentax apart from the Sony. Not to say they?re ugly but overall aesthetics aren't the raison d?etre for these babies - good photos and fast response are the ticket. ...
Canon EOS Rebel XSi Review by Digital Trends
Review (Summary): "Don't expect anything radical here - this is a basic black D-SLR with a matte-black body and some textured finish on the pistol grip and rear thumb rest. Yes, there?s an option for a silver body, but if you're buying a camera of this type, black is what you want. ...
Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Lens Review by Popular Photography
Review (Summary): "Surprisingly, this $1,700 (street) lens is Nikon's first constant-aperture optic in the very popular, all-purpose, standard zoom category. Both of the company's previous pro and amateur 24-85mm lenses had variable apertures. If the gold ornamentation on its barrel doesn't tip you off, the price should confirm that this is a professional-caliber lens. ..
Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 Vario-Sonnar T* ZA SSM AF Lens Review by Popular Photography
Review (Summary): "... Sony's outstanding new entry ($1,750, street) isn't based on any earlier Sony, Zeiss, or Konica Minolta designs, but - as the blue logo indicates - was co-developed with Zeiss, and it paves the way for Sony's soon-to-be-unveiled 24MP pro flagship DSLR. ..
Canon EF 70-30mm F/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM Lens Review by Popular Photography
Review (Summary): "One of only two lenses that contains both refractive and diffractive glass elements, this image-stabilized tele zoom is dramatically more compact - and expensive ($1,143, street) - than its refractive-only Canon ($549, street) or Nikon ($479, street) counterparts. ...
Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD700 Review by Popular Photography
Review (Summary): "If you're in the market for a pocket-sized HD camcorder, the Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD700 ($429, street) should place near the top of your list. The digital video camera, which Sanyo touts for both its 720p HD video capture and 7.1-megapixel still capabilities, offers excellent video quality in a package only slightly larger than a deck of cards. But its sub-par performance as a digital still camera makes the camcorder suitable for snapping only the occasional still photo. ...

Ricoh Caplio GR Digital II Review by CNET Reviews
Review (Summary): "The GR Digital II sports a 28mm-equivalent lens, which feeds light to a 10.1-megapixel CCD sensor, while a 2.7-inch LCD screen on the back lets you frame your shot. Instead of a built-in optical viewfinder, Ricoh offers a couple of accessory viewfinders that occupy the hot shoe: one (the GV-2) provides a 28mm field of view for the built-in lens; The other (the GV-1) can span 21-28mm, making it a perfect companion for the wide-angle conversion lens (the GW-1), which turns the built-in lens into a 21mm-equivalent. ...
Sony Alpha DSLR-A350 Digital SLR Review by CNET Reviews
Review (Summary): "With its 14-megapixel CCD, flip-up LCD, sensor-shift image stabilizer, and built-in wireless flash controller, the feature-packed Sony Alpha DSLR-A350 seems like a cornucopia of photographic goodness for the budget shopper. And you wouldn't be far off the mark: there's a lot to like in the A350, and I suspect it will garner its share of fans. ...
Pentax K200D Digital SLR Review by CNET Reviews
Review (Summary): "In the last three years, there have been a slew of advances in the realm of digital SLRs, and Pentax's K200D includes a lot of them. We've seen the megapixels grow to the point that entry-level models now sport 10MP sensors. Advanced color controls let you shift the white balance to add a little warmth or compensate for especially strange lighting. ...
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10 Review by CNET Reviews
Review (Summary): "For the Cyber-shot DSC-H10 budget megazoom camera, Sony didn't change much from its predecessor, the Cyber-shot DSC-H3. Only its 230,000-pixel 3-inch LCD is new, compared with the 115,000-pixel, 2.5-inch version on the H3. Given the lack of an electronic viewfinder, that's a nontrivial enhancement, but pretty much the only one. ...

Sony Alpha A350 vs Nikon D80 Review by Digital Review
Review (Summary): "The Sony A350 features a new 14.2 megapixel CCD sensor compared to the 10.2 megapixel CCD sensor on the Nikon D80. Both sensors are APS-C size which means that there is a 1.5 x multiplying factor that applies to the focal length of the lens in use to get the equivalent field of view (FOV) in 35mm terms. ...

Nikon Coolpix S600 Review by Trusted Reviews
Review (Summary): "The S600 is a 10-megapixel model, featuring a 4x zoom Nikkor lens with a 28mm-equivalent wide angle, optical image stabilization, a 2.7-inch high-resolution wide-view monitor and a robust brushed-steel body available in either gunmetal or black. Despite that tempting list of features it measures a pocket-friendly 88.5 x 53 x 22.5 mm and weighs just 130g.(4.5 ounces) ...

Fujifilm FinePix F100fd Review by Trusted Reviews
Review (Summary): "In the F-series, the new top dog is the F100fd, a feature packed 12MP model featuring Fujifilm's Super CCD HR VIII sensor. The sensor uses the same technology as the top of the range S5 Pro DSLR. Without being too technical about it, the sensor uses a unique pixel array designed to capture a broader dynamic range, in other words the full range of tones from highlight to shadow detail and everything in between. This is especially important in very bright sunlight, when deep shadows and glaring highlights are common. ...

Dog Photographer Joseph Sargent Calling for True Stories for Upcoming Book
Photographer Joseph Sargent's favorite subjects are the ones least likely to sit still long enough for him to take his time with obtaining a good shot. They also tend to shed all over his studio. But for Sargent, his Distinctive Dogs portraits are the most rewarding part of his business -- so much so that he is calling for people with canine companions to submit their true stories for possible inclusion in his upcoming book. Tentatively titled You've Got to Get a Dog, the book will feature the best of the stories Sargent receives, along with a professional portrait of each dog. Stories should illustrate how having a dog companion has enriched the person's life; Sargent will choose which tales -- and tails -- to be included for publication.

Canon Powershot SD790 IS Review by Photography Blog
Review (Summary): "ith its all-metal build and what Canon is describing as a 'chiseled' faceplate, there's no denying that the new Digital IXUS 90 IS (SD790 IS in the U.S.), while physically larger than the recently-announced IXUS 80 IS (SD770 IS in the U.S.), continues the range's tradition of stylish, good-looking pocket cameras. That much is expected. Instead of the IXUS 80's eight megapixel headline specification married to a 2.5-inch rear LCD however, the Canon Digital IXUS 90 IS features 10 megapixels and a larger 3-inch LCD with 15 levels of brightness adjustment, though the resolution remains at its little brother's 230k pix
